Terms and ConditionsA valid Credit/Debit card is required at the time of booking to secure the room(s). Payment The first night payment is required in advance to confirm the booking. Payment can be made by debit/credit card or cheque. We accept most major debit/credit cards including Maestro, Delta, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We do not charge a supplement for payment by debit/credit cards. The outstanding balance is due on departure and can be paid by cheque with a guarantee card up to the limit on the card or debit/credit card (as above). For single night bookings, we require full payment in advance. Bookings We do not accept one night bookings on a weekend at any time of the year. Single night bookings on week days are subject to availability and only accepted after direct contact with the Bay Tree Guest House. Easter weekend and the Ebor race meeting are a minimum stay of 3 nights. Cancellation Policy Any cancellations made more than 4 weeks in advance of the stay will be refunded in full minus a 10% handling charge. Any cancellations made less than 4 weeks in advance of the stay will only be refunded is the room(s) can be re-let minus a 10% handling charge. If this is not possible, the deposit or full amount will be withheld. We recommend that you take out the necessary travel/cancellation insurance. the Yorkshire Tourist Board recommend TPS and can be contacted on 0870 744056. No Shows - the full amount will be deducted from the Debit/Credit card used to pay the deposit. Curtailment of Stay - no refunds will be given unless exceptional circumstances apply. Check-in Times Check-in times are from 10.00-12.00 noon or 17.30-22.00. Please state your approximate time of arrival when booking. Check-in times outside of these hours must be agreed at the time of booking. Checking-Out Guests are requested to vacate their room by 10.00 on the day of departure. Luggage can be left at the guest house by arrangement. Loss/Damage to Property Lost keys will be charged at £75.00. Rooms will be checked after departure and any breakages or damage to property will be charged to the occupant using the Debit/Credit card used to secure the booking. Bay Tree Guest House reserves the right to charge for damage using a "new for old" policy. Car Parking We offer permits for on-street parking on Belway Street and Richardson Street close to the guest house. No Smoking We adopt a strictly no-smoking policy throughout the guest house. Should you choose to ignore this policy, you will be asked to leave and will be charged for the entire length of your stay, plus an additional £100 for specialist cleaning to the room. Taxation All prices include VAT. By booking, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
